WHY FIT IN WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT
-DR. SEUSS

My name is Brittany Casarez and I will be your child’s Preschool Special Education Teacher this school year.  Miss Peterson, a Special Education paraprofessional, and I are excited about this school year and look forward to getting to know you and your child if you are new to our program. We will be working with your child One or Two days a week as described in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

You will be informed of your child’s progress on IEP goals through progress reports that will be sent home once each 9-weeks.  We have so many fun things to do and interesting things to learn this year. We hope to work closely with you to share activities and themes and to hear from you about successes and concerns you may want to share from the home setting.

I have attached a little list of hints that will help make our year together more organized and more successful as we will be supporting each other’s efforts. The children will soon see that structure, routine, self-control and good behavior make for happy times for everyone J.

Again, we look forward to working with your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email at bcasares@burke.k12.ga.us or phone 706-554-5125 ext.249. You can access my email through the Waynesboro Primary School website. I will be sure to keep you informed about the great progress that I am seeing your child make in our classroom!

Thanks,

                                Brittany Casarez
