Dear Parents,
Welcome to 1st Grade! My name is Mrs. Glisson and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year!
Let me start my telling you a little about myself. This is my 20th year in education and I am very excited about what the year has in store for us! I started teaching as a paraprofessional and then decided to go back to school to become a teacher. In 2009, I graduated from Brenau University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I then attend Southern Wesleyan University and graduated with my Masters Degree in 2012. I have lived in Hephzibah most of my life. I am married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my grandchildren), shopping, and going to the lake.
First Grade is an exciting year for children as they dig into reading a little deeper. I am looking forward to a productive and fun year packed full of learning! This process will work better with the help of each and everyone of us! With all of us on the same team working together we can totally have a successful school year!
